- We are looking to employ a Regulatory Engineer / Technical Lead to fulfil an exciting and varied role in a light engineering environment, to manage international Type Approval projects, and provide engineering support as part of our technical teams located in Shanghai and UK. This position is suited to someone who has degree in Electronic Engineering, and has a technical mindset, who wishes to pursue a unique career path with a blend of both project management and technical functions. Your Job: - Preparation and submission of Type Approval application files to government regulatory Authorities. - Tracking status and driving the Type Approval process to ensure deadlines are met. - Review technical product documents (such as test reports, circuit and PCB layout diagrams) to ensure they are suitable for product certification applications. - Prepare and pre-test engineering samples before they are shipped to overseas test laboratories. - Verify and supplement the test instructions sent by our customers, so that they are targeted for their intended audience and can easily be understood by non-native English speaking engineers and technicians. - Support formal testing at overseas type approval test laboratories, as needed. - Assisting with customer enquiries and providing day to day support for customers and our internal account managers on a range of radio type approval and technical matters. - Manage and support international research projects on new technologies. *Industry specific training will be provided. Candidate Requirements: - Educated to bachelor's degree (or equivalent level) in Engineering (Electrical, Electrical Biased preferred), or a minimum 1 year's experience in a similar role. - Be technically minded, and have previous experience with reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting engineering documents and test reports. - Have experience using RF measurement equipment (Spectrum analyzer) and familiarity with conformity testing on modern radio data communications technologies (e.g BT, WLAN) - Have excellent command of English (both written and spoken), other languages will be a bonus. - Have technical mindset and enjoy solving technical problems. - Be driven, flexible, proactive and enthusiastic, with the ability to prioritise work and work under pressure. - Have excellent relationship building skills - Be able to work under own initiative and as part of a team - Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities - Multi-task oriented - Previous experience in a laboratory environment is advantageous - Interest in troubleshooting computers and networking hardware and software is advantageous Benefits: - Long term career with stable market specialist - Good benefits package - A small, friendly working environment - A great opportunity to learn and further develop your career - Full support and and overseas training opportunity at UK headoffice Apply now: If you are interested in applying for this position as a Regulatory Engineer, please submit your CV.
